This is the first book on portfolios that I've actually found to be helpful and inspiring. I love that she shows and addresses resumes and cover letters, and I love that various types of portfolios are addressed. I only wish there were more comments/quotes/advice from well-known designers in the industry. It feels like the ones that were included were rather old or too specific to one area of design. It shows a variety of portfolios and explains some of the ideas that went into them. It's almost more of a showcase though than a learning tool. I don't feel that the author teaches much. She shows the portfolio then describes a little about what makes it work, and that is all.
